OUR STORY
Found in the darkest corners of the county
Grown from a gloomy land of haunted houses
and misty moors
Melodies spun from bedtime stories in passed down books
Old tales of romance and dark curiosities
Songs to keep the damp from our bones
And ward off things that go bump in the night
Music to haunt the head
Crack it open and see…
Valentyne, the old divide
Forgotten in the dark
Now alight, forged from five
Let us steal your heart
The band released a prelude to their sound in 2023.
Delora was featured on BBC RADIO 1, and saw the band achieve national radio play across the country, with stations including RADIO LANCASHIRE, BBC INTRODUCING, and AMAZING RADIO regularly featuring the tracks, with Delora also being featured on the BEST NEW INDIE playlist.
Their ambitious live show, punk rock attitude, and wild onstage performances have begun to cement a loyal following, with festival appearances including THE NEIGHBOURHOOD, TRIB FEST, CAMPER CALLING, and BOARDWORKS.
Crowned as victors of the MCFC Battle of the Bands 2023 and the LYTHAM FESTIVAL BOTB in 2024, the band have taken over notable venues across the northwest, from NIGHT & DAY CAFÉ and O2 ACADEMY in Manchester, to LOWTHER PAVILION and BOOTLEG in Blackpool, to THE LEADMILL in
Sheffield.
With numerous stadium appearances at both the ACADEMY and ETIHAD STADIUMS, Valentyne are breaking out of the Northwest with a UK TOUR from Glasgow to Brighton (and everywhere in-between) this winter.
Drawing upon the darker side of Royal Blood, Wolf Alice, Radiohead and Deftones, Valentyne craft a gloomy, hauntingly beautiful sound and aesthetic of their own.
Their distorted alternative rock captures the nostalgia of youth, and lost love, whilst a dark intrigue dwells within, compelling you to dive deeper… if you dare.
Valentyne are made up of GEORGE DAVID WEBSTER (Guitar), CHARLOTTE ISOBEL (Vocals), THOMAS WEBSTER (Guitar), EMMA TAYLOR (Bass) and ROB DOWNEY (Drums), the group formed deep into the winter of 2023.
